LICENSING FAQs
-
Licensing is when an artist lets a company or brand use their artwork on products for a set time, while the artist keeps ownership of the art and gets paid (usually through royalties, or a flat fee plus royalties).
(Note: You don't need a license to sell finished products made with fabric purchased from my print-on-demand stores from Spoonflower and Raspberry Creek Fabrics.)

-
Non-exclusive licensing means the client gets the right to use an artwork, but the artist can also license that same piece to other clients.
-
Exclusive licensing in one category means the client has sole rights to use the artwork within a specific product or market category, while the artist can still license the same artwork to others in different categories.

As the designer, I retain all copyright and ownership of the artwork
If you are interested in a buy-out, this can be discussed.
